Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family.
I know you have heard it many times! Count your blessings. Be grateful. Focus on the good. A lot of times it is easier said than done. But there is tremendous power in making the quality decision to be grateful. And my wish for you is to tap into that power on this day. Choosing to be grateful can make that difference that you have been seeking for so long.
What we focus on becomes our reality. If we focus on what’s missing and outside of our control we will experience self-pity and powerlessness. Focus on all the potential dangers and we will constantly live in worry and fear. Focus on what’s unfair and how we have been wronged, and we will drown in resentment and revenge. BUT …
Focus on all the good in our lives, the people we love, the things we have now … and we will tap into a powerful force that will enable us to make those changes we have been longing for. So although your home and life might not look exactly the way you want it to look today … rather choose to be grateful for the roof over your head, the chair you sit on, being strong enough to declutter, and being able to bless others with some of that stuff.
Remember as with most things, being grateful grows stronger with use and practice. Try it!!!
AND TOMORROW IS BLACK FRIDAY!
A friendly reminder to not become part of the crowd rushing off to buy more stuff in the hope that it will make them feel happy and satisfied. It might for a while … but it won’t last. Sooner than you think those items will also just become part of the rest of the clutter that you are trying to get rid of.
Before you buy anything … ask yourself these questions:
• Can I Really Afford It?
• What Will I Do With It?
• How Often Will I Use It?
• Do I Even Want It?
• Do I need it?
• Do I have a place to put it?
If you can honestly answer ‘yes’ … go on and spoil yourself! You deserve it!
