Sometimes it is really hard to see the end from the beginning. And we humans so badly want to know how everything is going to play out. How it is going to end. And if we don’t … we worry.
We become mighty worriers. We worry about what has already happened, what is happening, and what is still going to happen. And in the meantime life carries on. If we worry or not.
We forget to focus on the now. That we only really need to give one step at a time. There is one promise I firmly believe in - that there will always be enough Light for the next step.
I just experienced it again in my own life. I had absolutely no clue how we were going to handle the family challenge that we are facing, and I am still not sure how it is going to end. At times it felt like my worst nightmare had come true.
But I hold onto the Light for the next step, refusing to be consumed by worry. One step at a time. A phone call today, an appointment tomorrow, filling in application forms, meeting a possible contact.
All small steps … but all part of reaching the end. And with each step, I am closer. The Light is in the beginning and at the end.
So if decluttering your home currently feels like this totally overwhelming task that is consuming you with worry … worry of failure, worry of the unknown, worry that it is going to be too much! Just take one small step right now. A drawer, a shelf, a bag with stuff. And then another small step. Don’t worry about the end. Just follow the Light to the next step. And then a decluttered home.
{Heart} this if it is time for you to take that next small step.
